2017 Face of the Year: ‘They Don’t Want None’

Winner: AJ Styles

“AJ Styles went from being the front runner for Heel of the Year to being the front runner for Face of the Year. I think his victory over Jinder Mahal received one of the biggest pops of the year, which shows just how over he is with the crowd. It blows my mind how AJ is able to pull the best out of each and every superstar, and his match v. Brock Lesnar was Brock’s best match since he’s returned to the WWE. AJ is easily the best face in the biggest promotion in the world.” – Chris Langevin

“The one constant on SmackDown Live that has given fans something to cheer for every single Tuesday night. The only crime is that AJ didn’t get to WWE sooner.” – Dave Reno

“The face that runs the place on SmackDown Live.” – Frank Anguiano

Runner Up: Kazuchika Okada

“New Japan’s Okada would be the perfect protagonist for a video game. The ‘Rainkmaker’ has the looks, the skills and the charisma to carry the company for another decade, if needed, I simply cannot think of a bigger white meat babyface in the game today. While a ton of credit has to be given to Gedo for booking him to perfection and making him a magical character, none of this would be possible without Okada doing what Okada does night in and night out.” – Dave Reno

Honorable Mentions: Johnny Gargano, Dalton Castle, Travis Banks, Asuka
