2017 PW Awards: Feud of the Year

Winner: Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega

“While most of their feud was built in 2016, I think the payoff matches that we received in 2017 make this my feud of the year. Every match felt new, different, and the stories they told in their matches added to their feud each and every time. I feel like even after such an amazing series of matches, they still have so much story that can be told. I’m looking forward to the next time they’re staring across the ring from each other.” – Chris Langevin

“Three match of the year caliber bouts that ended with a win for each competitor and a draw. The Flair versus Steamboat of this era.” – Dave Reno

Runner Up: The Usos vs. The New Day

“These teams revived tag team wrestling in the WWE this year. While 2016 seemed like the year that WWE reinvested in the tag team division with the amazing NXT tag matches, 2017 was the year it made its way to the main roster. While the Usos and the New Day have been amazing in their own right year after year after year, they were put across the ring from each other this year, and they didn’t disappoint.” – CL

Third Place: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

“Just think of all of the craziness that transpired between these two guys in 2017. This was the most hard-hitting feud in WWE for quite some time, it even involved a hit and run with an ambulance. One of my most random favorite moments of the year in wrestling was Strowman switching it up by throwing an office chair instead of a steel chair at Roman’s face—out of nowhere. It still elicits a hearty guffaw everytime.” – DR

Honorable Mentions: Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon, The Young Bucks vs. WWE, Pete Dunne vs. Travis Banks
