TJP sits down for a promo. He reads criticism of his win on Twitter. He says it sucks to dedicate 20 years of your life just to get booed for succeeding. During the Cruiserweight Classic, he lived and died on the idea he gave us all something to believe in. Now he has to ignore that we don’t. He did what he had to do to win. He’s not doing this for us He’s doing it for himself.

Another match is announced for next week: Akira Tozawa vs Marc Andrews.

– Tozawa is walking around backstage, filming himself. He says that next week on 205 Live he faces Marc Andrews. He says Andrews can’t beat him. He asks a random guy backstage his opinion on the match. They guy responds by saying he thinks Andrews is going to win. Tozawa says he doesn’t know. Tozawa’s going to win next week and the guy is going to be fired.

GM Maverick is backstage. Drew Gulak and Tony Nese arrive. Maverick asks Gulak what happened to him. He used to be the most rugged grappler on 205 Live. Now all Maverick sees are PowerPoint presentations and Gulak walking around with picket signs. He asks Gulak when he became such a goof. Nese laughs. Maverick says he doesn’t know what he’s laughing at. He’ one of the most physically gifted on 205 Live but that’s wasted. All Nese wants to do is count his abs. Maverick says the two of them have the most wasted potential on the 205 Live. Next week they’re going to face each other. Maverick wants to know which one of them is going to step up to the plate.

There’s an Itami inset promo during his entrance. He says Strong is a great Cruiserweight, one of the best in the world. This is Itami’s tournament, though.  205 Live is his home. Strong doesn’t belong there. Itami is going to WrestleMania.
