Hideo Itami & Akira Tozawa vs Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik end in no contest after a brawl breaks out. The brawl continues after the referee throws the match out. Tozawa and Itami are left standing after the brawl is over.

Drew Gulak is backstage. He says his match tonight against Marc Andrews has been postponed until next week as per his request. He says many people accuse him of playing mind games; however he insists he is not. He says he’s Drew Gulak and he believes in a better 205 Live. He wants Andrews to be 100% and to have fully recuperated from his gruelling match against Tony Nese. He wants Andrews to have no excuses after Gulak annihilates him. He was going to prepare a PowerPoint presentation detailing the psychology of why he’d hold him against his will   in his dragon sleeper hold. The more he thought about it, he realized he only needed one slide to do so: “Because I could…” The battle in the ring is won and lost on the mat. Gulak is the best submission specialist in the WWE. He can do that to anyone. If people step to him, they will tap out.

Marc Andrews is filming himself. He asks Gulak if he think he’s the only one who can use the ring to prove a point. Andrews says he flew halfway across the world to come back to 205 Live and prove a point of his own. In their last match, Gulak crossed the line. It isn’t about high-flying vs submission wrestling. This is about Marc Andrews vs Drew Gulak. When Andrews gets his hands on Gulak next week, he’s going to wish he never underestimated Andrews. He won’t ever disrespect him either.

Tony Nese is backstage with GM Drake Maverick. Maverick says he knows last week’s match against Marc Andrews was a step back. That’s why he put Nese right back out there in cruiserweight competition. He says he doesn’t think Nese realizes the untapped potential he is. When Nese goes out there tonight, he should remind everyone why he is the Premier athlete.

Tone Nese def. Jonathon Pierce via pinfall

Backstage Kalisto is checking on Dorado’s knee when Blake Murphy arrives. Murphy says tonight isn’t personal. He came to 205 Live for one reason: Become Cruiserweight Champion. Tonight, Kalisto stands in his way. Murphy adds he’ll do him the favour to make it quick so he can get back to his friends.

Buddy Murphy def. Kalisto via pinfall.

After the match, Drake Maverick congratulates Buddy Murphy but says that’s not why he’s here. He says he just wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything they did on 205 Live in the past few weeks: the Cruiserweight Tournament, for example. He couldn’t be prouder of the 16 athletes who stepped up. Cedric Alexander & Mustafa Ali will go on to WrestleMania to compete for the Title in front of 70,000 people.

He has a message for the WWE Universe. Wherever they are this Sunday, whether it’s on a phone, a tablet or at home with friends, they should sit down extra early. He wants people to feel every emotion. The match everyone’s going to talk about when they leave WrestleMania is Mustafa Ali vs Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Title.
