Marc Andrews is backstage with Tony Nese. Nese tells Andrews that Drew Gulak used to be his friend, but he turned into a sadistic egomaniac. If anyone should vengeance, it’s him. He then tells Andrews to go out there and kick Gulak’s ass.

Gulak is in the ring with a microphone before his match. He says he is nothing if not a man of the people. He’s heard the people’s concern. What better time then now for his PowerPoint Presentation. He says the answer to that question is any time but now. There’s a time for PowerPoint Presentations but it’s not now. He is about to annihilate the pop/rock dimwit Marc Andrews. He warns children they are looking at “Microsoft Office” Drew Gulak. They are looking at the best submission specialist in the WWE. It doesn’t matter who you are. If you step to him you will tap out.

GM Drake Maverick is backstage. He is talking to two men we don’t see. He grants their request. They will be in tag team action next week. He does want them to know he has reservations about the two of them reuniting. We now see he is talking to Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick. He says no one’s happier than him about Kendrick being back on the roster. However, after what happened between Kendrick and Itami, Maverick wants to be sure it won’t turn into a vendetta. Gallagher says a vendetta with Itami is beneath them at this point. Kendrick says he’s just happy being back on 205 Live. As far as Itami goes, Maverick can consider it water under the bridge.

GM Maverick is now in the ring. He says he won’t be long but he asks the fans if it’s been the best week of WWE or what? He says nothing makes him prouder than having been given the position of 205 Live’s GM. He thinks they’re doing a hell of a job. That was until this past Sunday when he saw the heart and soul of the roster battle it out for the Cruiserweight Championship and tearing down the house. He welcomes the new Cruiserweight Champion: Cedric Alexander.

The fans are chanting: “You deserve it” at Alexander. He thanks them.  Two years ago, fans chanted “Please sign Cedric.” Because of their love and support he was able to make it to Wrestlemania and walk out as Cruiserweight champion in front of his friends and family. He wants to keep this simple. From the bottom of his heart, from his family he says thank you. Mustafa Ali comes to the ring. He says he came out here to tell Cedric something face to face.

As his opponent at WrestleMania, as a member of the 205 Live roster and as his friend, you don’t just deserve it. He earned it. There’s a long line of people back there waiting for an opportunity at the Cruiserweight Championship. He’s in that line too. Buddy Murphy’s music hits and both Alexander and Ali looks at the ring. Murphy comes from behind and attacks Alexander. He then gets out of the ring.

  • Replay of Buddy Murphy’s attack on Cedric Alexander last week.

GM Drake Maverick is backstage. He says Buddy Murphy’s action last week were inexcusable. He interrupted Cedric Alexander’s moment as new Cruiserweight Champion. Despite that, Murphy has been deserving of a title match. Maverick has made a match scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble event. Cedric Alexander will defend his Title. Unfortunately that all changed that morning, before all the paperwork was signed. They had the mandatory 205 Live weigh in. Murphy didn’t make weigh. Murphy will have to make weight to resume competition at a later date. His loss is going to be someone else’s gain. Alexander needs a challenger. Next week there’ll be a gauntlet match to determine who his challenger will be.

He says he hopes Murphy makes weight and comes back to 205 Live. Ali knows Alexander  can’t wait to get his hands on Murphy. On the other hand, there’s this opportunity. Next week there’s the gauntlet match and the winner goes on to face Alexander for the Title. He already let the Title slip through his fingers once. He’s not going to let that happen again.

Drew Gulak is backstage. He says he proved once again last week that his ground-based superiority prevails over aerial delinquency. He did so when he brought Marc Andrews’ “silly quest” for redemption crashing down at the hands of the best submission specialist in the WWE. This should serve as a warning to his former tag team partner, Tony Nese. Nese is on his own silly quest for retribution. He is fixated on Gulak’s individual rise to success while Nese flounders in his own mediocrity. He says Nese thinks he deserves a rematch and he asks why. Because of his washboard abs? Gulak says he’s on to bigger and better things with his campaign for a better 205 Live. The next step is capturing the Cruiserweight Title. His quest begins next week during the gauntlet match which he’ll win.He warns that if whoever steps to him will tap out.
