A new book covering the history of pro wrestling inside of the Tokyo Dome is available to back now via IndieGoGo as of yesterday and it has already surpassed its initial goal.

The book comes to you via Chris Charlton (@reasonjp) and @ShiningWizardDs and it’s really something that I forsee as a must have for any fan of Puroresu or just any fan of great storytelling and phenomenal artwork. Here’s an overview of the book:

559 wrestlers have had 576 matches across 64 shows in 30 years at the Tokyo Dome. With legendary moments and, recently, huge global attention, it’s one of pro wrestling’s most iconic venues. Now it’s time to tell the story of all those stories. With original historical sources never before available in English, exclusive interviews from those who made these moments a reality, and stunning art work, EGGSHELLS is the definitive guide to a legendary venue, and to Japanese wrestling history.

There are currently ten perks still available that range from $1 to $900 over at IndieGoGo that are ready for you to check out now. As stated on their website, the book also provides insights and stories from folks like Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, Jim Ross, Kenta Kobashi, Soichi Shibata and more of the folks who performed and covered events inside of ‘The Big Egg’ in person over the years. Promotions like New Japan Pro Wrestling, DDT, Pro Wrestling Noah, AJPW, UWF and every other promotion that has put on a show inside of the Dome are all covered in this book.

You can get all the info you need on the book by checking out the video above, visiting the official website for EGGSHELLS and by checking out the official funding page over at IndieGoGo now.

Dave has been covering Pro Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts for various websites since 2010. He currently runs both FightBooth and FightBoothPW with the help of some lovely and talented people.
