‘Ember Sparks a Fire’: Potential main roster feuds for Ember Moon

After a compelling feud with Shayna Baszler that culminated with her dropping the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT: New Orleans, Ember Moon made her much-anticipated main roster debut on the RAW after WrestleMania where she would team with new RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax to take on now former RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and five-time Women’s Champion Mickie James.

The match concluded with Moon hitting The Eclipse on Bliss to pick up her first main roster victory. With Moon teaming with Jax and getting a pinfall over a major star like Alexa Bliss, this could mean the creative team have big plans for the former NXT Women’s champion, who is sure to flourish on the main roster.

Moon’s first feud is almost certainly going to be with Mickie James and Alexa Bliss. Bliss is going to continue to chase after meaning Jax will need backup to fend of Mickie James — Moon is the perfect superstar to aid her. She and James will have great wrestling matches on WWE programming and her eventual segments with Bliss and matches to follow will be just as good.

Another potential feud could see Moon going head on against Absolution. She had very competitive matches with Sonya Deville on NXT TV for the Women’s Championship and those encounters would flow seamlessly onto the main roster. With Paige’s retirement, it is not certain what will happen with Absolution, but WWE would be foolish not to utilize the chemistry between Moon and Deville in some capacity.

If WWE decide to keep her on RAW and turn her heel, a program with Ember Moon and Sasha Banks would be money, giving Banks some of her best matches since her series with Charlotte Flair. They would have very spirited backstage segments with both women being very aggressive and forward moving, and their matches would be hard-hitting classics for us to watch back for years to come.

The obvious feud that would be great without a doubt and that WWE are going to probably keep in their back pockets for a while is Moon vs. Asuka. They had the best bouts NXT has seen regardless of gender and certainly the best matches for the Women’s Championship since Flair vs. Banks and Banks vs. Bayley. Their hard-hitting, technical styles meshed extremely well on NXT and the two would only up their game for main roster audiences.
