One day after being hit with an indefinite suspension due to sexual assault allegations, Enzo Amore has been released by WWE.

The company released the following statement on WWE.com just moments ago: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore).

Arndt is under investigation for the alleged rape of a woman who uses the twitter handle @missgucciwitch. This story made waves following Miss Gucci’s post on social media about the incident yesterday.

Officers responded to a call from a local hospital on October 23rd in regards to a sexual assault that had taken place at the Clarendon Hotel and Spa in Phoenix. Arndt was indeed in Phoenix on the night of October 19th at that hotel.

Arndt was well aware of the ongoing investigation against him but did not let WWE officials know.

As ProWrestlingSheet was quick to point out in their report, the company did not use their usual line of wishing the released talent well in their future endeavors when breaking news of Arndt’s release.

Arndt was a 2-time WWE Cruiserweight champion who held the title for a combined 109 days during his reigns. That title is now vacant following his release—expect that situation to be addressed on tonight’s episode of 205 Live.
