Impact Wrestling Recap (4.12.18): Demon’s Dance



  • At the top of the show is a video package highlighting the Impact vs Lucha Underground show from WrestleCon last weekend at The Sugar Mill. At the beginning of the video it is mentioned that Alberto El Patron didn’t show up and was dropped from the main event at Redemption. Austin Aries will now defend the Impact Global Championship against Pentagon Jr and Fenix. 
  • Eli Drake is out with both of his feast or fired briefcases and says that he doesn’t want a tag title shot that he wants a world title shot and then says he doesn’t even have a partner anyway cause Chris Adonis tucked tail and left. He then talks about winning the World Title briefcase. LAX interrupts him and calls him out to announce his partner to challenge them at redemption and Drake brings out Scott Steiner as his partner. The two teams exchange words and LAX ends the segment on top with their music playing. 

Match #1: Moose defeats Sami Callihan VIA disqualification

Sami Callihan warned Eddie Edwards that he would be coming after all of his friends and last week he brought Moose into the equation. Moose and Callihan had a good match but it came to a sudden end when Callihan grabs his bat and attacks Moose. OVE beats down Moose and Edwards comes out for the save and OVE beats Edwards down. Edwards wife runs out and is then cornered by OVE when the lights go out and come back on and Tommy Dreamer is in the ring. Dreamer announces that at redemption it will be Himself, Edwards, and Moose vs OVE in a House Of Hardcore match. 

Match #2: Petey Williams defeats Josh Matthews via disqualification

Josh Matthews had bone to pick with Petey Williams blaming Williams as the reason why Sydal isn’t double champion and why he isn’t the Grand Champion anymore. Williams swept the ring with Matthews but Sydal kept getting involved. Williams finally had Sydal down and out-of-the-way and sets up Matthews for the Canadian Destroyer but Sydal kicks Williams and causes the disqualification. 

  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Johnny Impact and he’s talking about Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong. Jacobs and Kong come up and Impact challenges then next week. 

Match #3: Richard Justice, Fallah Bahh, and Tryus defeats KM, Trevor Lee, and Kaleb Conley

This match came about last week after KM called justice fat and then attacks justice. Justice added Bahh and Tryus into the battle to get revenge on KM who brought Cult Of Lee with him. Fallah Bahh flattens KM with a Bonzai Drop to get the win for his team. 

Match #4: Rosemary defeats Taya Valkyrie in a Demons Dance match 

These two have been at each others throats for nearly a year now and It all came down to this. They brawl on the ramp and into the ring where they bring in tons of chairs and eventually a ladder and do some crazy spots. A table gets brought in and set up and Taya looks to end Rosemary from the top rope. Rosemary turns it around on Taya and Piledrives her through the table to get the win. 

Brandon is a life long wrestling fan and a die hard hardcore kid. Pro wrestling and hardcore music helped him find acceptance and gave him a place to be himself at. It's what has made him the passionate fan and person he his today.
