Impact Wrestling Recap (4.19.18): Redemption go-home show



The show kicks things off tonight with a tag match showcasing Impact’s newest member, Su Yung. Su has been the talk of the town since making her debut and attacking Allie.

Match #1: Su Yung and Braxton Sutter defeats Kiera Hogan and Fallah Bahh

Su and Sutter fend off Hogan and Bahh after Su hits Hogan with the Panic Switch for the win. After the match Su is attacked by Allie on the ramp hoping to weaken Su before she defends her Knockouts Title against Su this Sunday at Redemption. 

  • LAX is In their clubhouse and Konnan has a lot to say about Scott Steiner. Konnan says Steiner may not even show up and they if he does he will probably be late or may even attack Eli Drake. 
  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong. Jacobs asks Mitchell how it feels to be pretty cause Kong doesn’t know that feeling. Jacobs says tonight Kong will dismantle Johnny Impact. 

Match #2: Brian Cage defeats KM

KM issued an open challenge asking for the best impact has got calling out the likes of Gilberg and the Brooklyn Brawler, instead he gets Brian Cage. Cage quickly finishes off KM with a F-5.

Match #3: Johnny Impact vs Kongo Kong ends in a no contest

Jacobs and Kong wanted to only do one thing, and that’s to mess up the face of Johnny Impact. Impact held his own for most of the match until they take the match to the outside and Kong throws the ref into the guard rail. Kong then sets up the steel steps on the ring apron and Long Darts Impact into the steps busting Impact Nose. The match is ruled a no contest. 

  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Eli Drake and Scott Steiner. Eli Drake goes on about having the cases for the world title and the tag titles. Steiner says that he’s going to make Drake a Tag Team Champion. 

Match #4: Pentagon Jr defeats Fenix and Austin Aries

This match was brought to us from the Impact vs Lucha Underground show from New Orleans. This was originally scheduled to be a tag match between Aries and Fenix vs El Patron and Pentagón but due to Patron no showing and being fired it turned into a triple threat. These three put on a great match. Pentagón got the win after hitting Fenix with the Pentagón Driver. 

Brandon is a life long wrestling fan and a die hard hardcore kid. Pro wrestling and hardcore music helped him find acceptance and gave him a place to be himself at.
