Match #1: Aerostar defeats Drago

Impact kicks things off with two of Lucha Underground’s biggest stars. These two men have put on excellent matches in the past in Lucha Underground and things were no different here.

After high risk move after high risk move Aerostar launches off the second rope and connects with a Springboard Code Breaker to Drago to get the win.

  • There’s a pre-tape shown from earlier in the day of Josh Matthews telling Matt Sydal that he will no longer be accompanying him to the ring from here on it that it’s time for Sydal to spread his wings on his own.
  • LAX minus Konnan are in their clubhouse. Ortiz and Santana talk about how Konnan is late and then Santana gets a phone call from a man named King. King tells Santana that someone took out Konnan.

Match #2: Eli Drake and Scott Steiner defeats LAX (c) for the Impact Tag Team Titles

Without Konnan by their side, Santana and Ortiz had to take care Eli Drake and Scott Steiner on their own. LAX pulled all the big double team moves on Drake and Steiner trying to prove they can do this one alone.

At one point in this match, Scott Steiner hit a Frakensteiner on a member of LAX from the top rope. Santana made the mistake of going after Steiner from the top rope when Ortiz had Drake up for the Street Sweeper. Then Eli Drake manages to escape from Ortiz and hits him with the Gravy Train for the win.

  • A vignette of Pentagon Jr is shown talking about tonight’s main event.

Match #3: Brian Cage defeats Dezmond Xavier, Taiji Ishimori, Trevor Lee, DJZ, and El Hijo Del Fantasma

This was a six way showing off how stacked this roster truly is. Every man in the match showcased their skills and proved to the world why their belong here in Impact. Tons of fun spots in this match. Brian Cage proved once again why he’s called the Machine after hitting Xavier with a Drill Claw to get the win.

  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Allie to talk about her Title defense against Su Yung. Allie says tonight she’s going to prove she’s no paper champion and that she’s not even going to worry about Braxton Sutter being ringside.

Match #4: Taya Valkyrie defeats Kiera Hogan

This match was made earlier in the day on Twitter. Not long after the match starts, Tessa Blanchard comes out and joins commentary and announces she’s now in Impact. Hogan looked to score a huge victory here but failed after Taya hits her with the Road To Valhalla for the win.

  • McKenzie is backstage with Petey Williams. Williams says it’s been 10 years since he’s been X-Division champion and looks to bring it home. He then starts to do some Canadian math about the match when Scott Steiner interrupts him to finish the equation for him. Steiner wishes Williams luck and the Williams tells Steiner he will see him at Cracker Barrel.

Match #5: Matt Sydal (c) defeats Petey Williams to retain the X-Division Title

Williams earned this shot by grabbing the X-Division briefcase in the feast or fired match. Williams has been successful before cashing in and looked to repeat that success. William hits Sydal with a Canadian Destroyer but rolls out of the ring. Sydal goes for a Shooting Star Press but Petey moves and then goes for another Canadian Destroyer but Sydal reverses It into a variation of a Power Bomb and then gets the victory.

  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Moose, and Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer says OVE is everything he hates and tonight they will fall.

Match #6: OVE defeats Eddie Edwards, Moose, and Tommy Dreamer in a House Of Hardcore match

Callihan and Edwards have been looking to end each other ever since Callihan hot Edwards in the eye with a baseball bat and it all came down to this. Over the past month, OVE have been attacking Edwards and everyone he loves. Moose and Tommy Dreamer stood up to the plate and aligned themselves with Edwards in this war. This match was crazy and violent. Chairs, tables, ladders, tacks — you  name it — it was there.

Callihan pulls out the ball bat to attack Edwards with but Dreamer counters it with a barbed wired ball bat of his own. Dream goes to scrape the eyes of Callihan with the bat but Callihan hits a Low Blow to Dreamer and rolls him up for the win. After the match Edwards attacks Callihan and then scrapes the face of Callihan and busted Callihan wide open. Edwards tapes Callihan to the top rope and continues to destroy him with a Kenso Stick. Dreamer tries to stop Edwards but he pushed Dreamer away. Alisha runs down to stop Eddie but Eddie had no idea it was her and swings the Kendo Stick and hits Alisha in the face.

  • A pre-tape of Fenix is show and he says he’s walking out as champ tonight
  • McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Austin Aries. Aries says Pentagon and Fenix are great but they aren’t the World Champion and says he’s unbeatable.

Match #7: Allie (c) defeats Su Yung to retain the Knockouts Title

Su Yung used the past of Sutter and Allie to get a title shot. Allie has been a fighting champion since winning the title and didn’t look to backdown against Su.

After the distraction from Sutter, Su goes for a Panic Switch but Allie reverses it into a pin and gets the win. After the match, Sutter asks Su to marry him but she spits red mist in his eyes and then puts the Claw on him.

Match #8: Pentagon Jr defeats Austin Aries (c) and Fenix to win the Impact World Championship

This match felt like such a big deal and felt like a major main event match. These 3 men are arguably 3 of the very best in the world. They absolutely tore the house down. Fenix threw everything he could to put away his brother and Aries.

Aries had no plans losing his Championship tonight but Pentagon Jr had something to say about that. Pentagon puts Fenix in the Gory Special and then grabs Aries to hit a combo Gory Special/Package Pile Driver to Aries and Fenix and then Pentagon breaks Aries arm before hitting him with a Pentagon Driver for the win. I highly recommend this match.
