NJPW ‘Super Jr. Tag League 2019’ (10.26.19) Results & Review

Only one tournament match on the eighth night of the 2019 Super Junior Tag League. Two teams above .500 look to stay that way as the Suzuki-Gun team of El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru take on CMLL representatives, Volador Jr. & Titán. Let’s get started!

Volador Jr. & Titán (3-1) def. El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru (2-2) @ 12:03 via Titán Japanese Leg Roll Clutch Hold – **3/4
After watching two matches that were either comedy or had a bad layout, it was nice to see two teams follow clearly defined roles. Desperado and Kanemaru know to attack and brawl and Titán has been showcasing nice comebacks all tournament. There wasn’t any Kanemaru mist to be seen, the intensity from Titán came after Desperado ripped his mask and everything made sense. I’m not saying to rush out and watch this match but at the very least it was cohesive.

The biggest problem here was that the crowd didn’t care. They were largely indifferent to everything these guys were doing but I appreciated this match a lot after the last two nights.
