NJPW ‘World Tag League 2017 Night 13′ 12.3.17 Results & Review

Hard camera only for the thirteenth night of the World Tag League. New Japan edited the show, only providing us with the tournament matches.

Fale & Owens def. Death Juice @ 9:11
I think we’re far enough along to start naming MVPs of the tournament and for me, it’s Death Juice. They’ve consistently been the hardest workers night in and night out without question. Callihan is never afraid to do whatever’s necessary to receive any sort of reaction. Death Juice were attempting to isolate Owens by laying Fale out with dives to the floor. Owens though managed to role Callihan up from behind and pull off the victory. Not something to rush out and see but Death Juice’s body of work this tournament has far and away been the easiest to watch.

Evil & Sanada def. Tencozy @ 11:46
Like their match with Nagata and Nakanishi, Evil and Sanada use underhanded tactics to eliminate the legend team of Tencozy. The veterans hit their finishing move, the Tencozy Cutter, but Evil pulled the referee out, nailed Kojima with a chair and he and Sanada finished Tenzan with the Magic Killer. Now that’s both legend teams they’ve beat via shenanigans and those teams with eliminated as a result. When they beat Nagata and Nakanishi in that way I wasn’t a fan but now that both have been eliminated in this style I see more clearly what they’re trying to do. The match was average for what we’ve come to expect on this tour. Not one of the better contests but not bad either.

Nether match stood out as anything special but they were slightly better than what we’ve gotten on some nights. Nothing I recommend making time to watch.
