Back to hard camera only for the ninth night of the World Tag League. New Japan edited the show, only providing us with the tournament matches.

Death Juice def. Nagata & Nakanishi @ 12:19
Continuing to be one of few motivated teams of the A block, Death Juice have a slightly above average match with the veterans. They bumped like madmen for Nakanishi, making him look devastating. Juice had a lot of great banter with everyone involved in the match which helped the low moments still be entertaining. Death Juice are early contenders for most entertaining team on their block and they won with a Pulp Friction + Frog Splash combination on Nakanishi.

Goto & Yoshi-Hashi def. Tencozy @ 11:09
When Y-H wrestles with an edge he’s much more likable. Usually he mills about but he showed some attitude and aggression against the veterans and helped add a little intensity to the match. Everyone was slightly more fired up than usual and the added chemistry between Y-H and Goto leaves me feeling okay with the fact if they win the tournament. They’ve come up with several tag team moves, the assisted GTR seemingly becoming their finish. They hit that on Kojima to end the match.

Suzuki & Iizuka def. Fale & Owens @ 10:03
Eight of the ten minutes this match went comprised of outside brawling. Half of the remaining two minutes consisted of Iizuka choking Owens and Fale. There was spurts where the crowd tried rallying around Bullet Club but the cheers died a quick death every time. Live audiences love Suzuki’s brawling on the outside but for someone watching on a screen the energy doesn’t translate and is mostly boring. Owens ate the Gotch-style piledriver to end the boredom.

Evil & Sanada def. Yujiro & Page @ 12:14
Although there were a few miscues, Evil and Sanada remain with the likes of Death Juice as the hardest workers on the block. They switched up the hot tag to Evil this time with Sanada having to overcome Bullet Club’s targeting of his knee. It’s a simple story in wrestling but nearly always effective. Page shied away from doing his apron Shooting Star Press which I’m all for him stopping all together. Not bad but wasn’t crisp. Evil and Sanada win via Magic Killer.

Maybe it’s the extra day off everyone had but they all seemed fresh and motivated more so than the last few shows. Nothing is highly recommended but Death Juice had another entertaining match and I’ll place it in my recommendations based on everything in it being pretty crisp.
