RAW Title Change Alert: New champion crowned in Boston

An unexpected title change took place during the 2nd hour of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW out of the TD Garden in Boston. Neville would be forced to defend his Cruiserweight title before SummerSlam against Akira Tozawa thanks to some lobbying from Tozawa’s manager, Titus O’Neil.

“We understand that earlier today, Titus O’Neil spoke to general manager Kurt Angle and he said, Boston is a big town with rich sports history. It’d be the perfect place for Tozawa to capture the championship,” lead announcer Michael Cole informed the televsion audience. He then went on to make a reference to a 2003 southern hip-hop classic.

After a very solid match, the end would come when Neville missed his patented Red Arrow finisher. Tozawa would climb to the top rope to deliver a diving senton to get the pinfall and earn his first WWE title. Chalk one up on the board for Titus Worldwide.

Tozawa is expected to make the first defense of his Cruiserweight title in a rematch against Neville this coming Sunday night at SummerSlam.
