Ronda Rousey suspended after RAW destruction

Ronda Rousey has been suspended for 30 days per General Manager Kurt Angle after losing control of her emotions earlier tonight in Grand Rapids.

Tonight’s episode of RAW opened with Angle presenting the RAW Women’s Championship to Alexa Bliss following her cash-in last night at the Money in the Bank WWE Network exclusive event out of the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Bliss emerged with the coveted briefcase after besting seven of the top women on the roster in a show stealing ladder match for the opportunity to cash in her World Championship contract at the moment of her choosing. After procuring the briefcase, Bliss would waste very little time.

In the penultimate match of the evening between Nia Jax and Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship, Bliss watched closely backstage as Rousey mounted her comeback after being punished by Jax throughout the contest.

Just as Rousey had Jax in position to tap her out via armbar, Bliss picked the perfect moment of vulnerability. “The Goddess of WWE” would take Rousey out of the equation by giving her “multiple bruises and welts” with the briefcase before beginning a new match with Jax where she’d hit her patented Snap DDT followed by Twisted Bliss to become a 5-time Women’s Champion.

A very unimpressed Rousey came out to interrupt tonight’s festivities only to listen to a vicious verbal attack from the champ.

Bliss told Ronda that she clearly didn’t understand the different between WWE and UFC. She said that what she did last night in Chicago was perfectly legal and that she was an overhyped rookie that needed to go to the back of the line. Rousey responded by destroying Bliss, Angle and every referee in the building that attempted to hold her back.

Just before leaving the Van Andel Center to begin her 30 day suspension, Rousey was stopped by Renee Young for one final interview. These were her parting words for Bliss: “..After these 30 days, I don’t care if she’s champion or not, I’m gonna be back here, kicking her pink haired ass.”

Angle announced that Jax, who is currently undergoing some rehabilitation, will use her rematch clause to face Bliss for the title at next month’s Extreme Rules event out of Pittsburgh on July 15th.

With Rousey out of action for the next 30 days, expect a major build for Rousey versus Bliss at SummerSlam to begin immediately following the Extreme Rules PPV.
