Vincent Kennedy McMahon is set to return to SmackDown Live next week when the blue brand takes over Las Vegas.

News of McMahon’s return to TV was revealed in a backstage segment with Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan following tonight’s main event between Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton. Bryan told Owens that McMahon will appear next week to address the ongoing situation between the former Universal Champion and his son, Shane McMahon. That situation turned volatile in tonight’s opening segment after Shane finally hit his boiling point with Owens. The end result would be a Shane O’Mac outburst ended with Vince phoning Bryan to suspend his son live on national television.

Three titles matches are also on the docket for next week’s show. Natalya will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Naomi and AJ Styles will defend his United States Championship against Tye Dillinger. Also booked for the show will be a street fight between current SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and The New Day.
