WATCH: Matt Hardy gets ‘WOKEN’ on Monday Night RAW

The 2016 Matt Hardy that we all know and love from Impact Wrestling was finally introduced to the WWE Universe tonight inside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles and it was absolutely delightful.

A taped segment debuted Hardy’s ‘Woken’ persona which is identical to the ‘Broken’ character that brought him major success last year. Although he is using the same “speak” and persona, WWE wanted him reportedly wanted to use the ‘Woken’ name so they could own it.

Hardy got a much better response from the fans tonight during his mid third hour back and forth segment with Bray Wyatt than he did last week in Knoxville when he teased his full on character change with a series of ‘Delete’ chants after suffering a crushing loss to the ‘Eater of Worlds’.

Hardy was recently allowed to use his ‘Broken’ gimmick when Impact decided to allow all talent, current and former, to use the personas developed while with the company outside of it. The Wyatt-Hardy feud was one that pro wrestling fans were clamoring for last year during the height of the ‘Broken’ gimmick and now they’re finally getting on WWE programming. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this dream feud below in our comments section or get at us on social media @FightBoothPW.
