WrestleMania 34: The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins play-by-play

Here we go, opening the show with the IC Title triple threat.

Seth Rollins enters first with a very cool fire to ice entrance and ice blue colored contacts, clearly Game of Thrones inspired. He’s never had the IC Title.

The Miz comes out with the Miztourage second with some 3D graphics, at least for the TV Audience in an all new red outfit. He immediately sends the Miztourage to the back.
Finn Balor comes out in a black and rainbow outfit with the LGBT community on the stage. The Balor Club is for everyone. Very cool. This is Finn’s Wrestlemania debut. He returned the Raw after Mania last year. Good to see him here.

All three men jockey for position, exchanging roll ups. Miz and Rollins try to their finishers early unsuccessfully. Seth dumps Miz outside, Finn dumps Seth outside, then Finn flips over the top onto both.

Really high energy in the open of this match.

Miz and Finn exchange blows in the ring. Seth jumps off the top back in onto Finn. Seth catches Rollins and Miz with a double blockbuster. Finn gets knocked down by the Miz’s corner clothesline. Miz with a couple quick pin attempts and modified headlocks.

These guys are putting in good, fast work.

Balor frees himself from the Miz, hits a couple of clotheslines, and a double stomp on the Miz.

Finn kicks Miz out of the ring. Seth comes back in. Finn tries for a slingblade and gets blocked by Seth. Seth hits one of his own then double suicide dives. Seth back in, Finn hits the slingblade and lines up for the drop kick but gets superkicked by Seth for his trouble. Miz with a DDT and another pin attempt for 2.

Miz and Seth exchange more blows. Seth tries to come in from the apron. Miz kicks him off. Miz turns to Finn, who is on the apron, who tries to kick Miz but Miz blocks, pulls Finn in, and puts Finn in the Figure 4. Seth eventually hits a huge frog splash on Miz and goes for a pin and get a long two count.

Miz rolls to the floor, Finn sits on the corner of the apron holding his knee. Seth goes for the barricade bomb on Miz, Finn goes to kick Seth but Seth blocks and goes to bomb Finn who counters, hits a slingblade, then drop kicks Miz and Seth into the barricade.

Finn throws Seth back in, misses the 1916. They exchange kicks, Finn hits the overhead kick into the 1916 for another two count. Finn climbs to the top and gets attacked by Miz from the apron. Miz sets Finn up for a superplex. Seth turns it into a buckle bomb on the Miz, hits a superplex on Finn but gets rolled up going for the Falcon Arrow. Finn kicks out. Miz hits Seth with the Skullcrushing Finale for a two count.

Crowd starts chanting this is awesome and they’re right.

Miz goes for the Skullcrushing Finale on Finn twice, both are countered. Finn goes to the corner. Miz charges, Finn jumps the ropes for a kick to the head. Finn climbs to the top turnbuckle, Miz hits the top rope. Finn and Miz fight on the top, Seth hits a step up Enziguiri. Seth goes to hit something on Finn and Miz from the top, Miz hits a top rope Skullcrushing Finale and goes for the pin but Finn hits a Coup de Grace on Miz during the count.

Finn hits a slingblade onto the Miz into the corner dropkick. Finn hits the Coup de Gras and goes for the pin but gets hit with the Stomp from Seth. Seth tunes up the stomp and hits the Miz for the 1,2,3. Seth is the new Intercontinental Champion and is a Grand Slam winner.
