WWE has issued the following statement to the media confirming an earlier report from PWTorch:
Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.
It is unclear on whether or not Ambrose will return to WWE programming after his interactions on last night’s episode of RAW with Nia Jax and Triple H and loss to Seth Rollins.
Ambrose was a 7-time champion during his time with WWE who reached the pinnacle of his singles career at the Money in the Bank 2016 PPV where he would capture the MITB briefcase and cash it in on the same night to become WWE Champion.
When it’s all said and done, Ambrose will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of The Shield faction alongside Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and almost certainly as a singles wrestler.
UPDATE: WWE has sent out the following tweet in regards to Ambrose’s status:
BREAKING: Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. https://t.co/RdxZmUXyuK

The link leads to the exact statement they sent out to the media moments earlier. This likely confirms that Ambrose will no longer be appearing on WWE programming until his next stint with the company if he ever does decide to return.
