WWE confirms Lio Rush signing

WWE has confirmed that Lionel Green, who goes by the ring name of Lio Rush, will be designated to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando after signing with the company. News of Rush making the move to Orlando first surfaced a couple of months back after he began announcing his final indie dates. WWE.com made the official announcement of Rush’s signing earlier today.

Rush has made big waves on the independent scene since beginning his pro wrestling training just under 3 years ago at the MCW Training Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Since that time, Rush captured championships for multiple different promotions and emerged as Ring of Honor’s 2016 “Top Prospect” by winning their annual 8-man tournament. Previous winners include War Machine’s Hanson, Matt Taven and recent WWE signees Mike Bennett and Donovan Dijak.

Rush is known for his deep moveset which includes many breathtaking moves of the high-flying variety. Billed at 5 ft 6 in and 161 lbs, it wouldn’t be a shocker if the ‘Man of the Hour’ ends up on 205 Live after spending some time in NXT. It appears that WWE will be branding him as an “American Daredevil”.

Dave has been covering Pro Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts for various websites since 2010. He currently runs both FightBooth and FightBoothPW with the help of some lovely people.
