WWE ‘No Mercy’ results: Brock and Braun go to war in the ‘City of Angels’

Published

on

WWE brought a PPV with two WrestleMania worthy main events to the ‘City of Angels’ tonight under the guise of the 13th edition of their RAW exclusive No Mercy event. Did it deliver? Let’s take a look below.

Major Takeaways

Brock Lesnar is still your WWE Universal Champion, John Cena appears to be going away until Mania season after taking a tough defeat to Roman Reigns, Cesaro got his two front teeth jammed up into his gums and Enzo Amore took the Cruiserweight title off of Neville with a low blow.

Match of the Night

This one is simple. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose versus Cesaro and Sheamus delivered on so many levels. It’d actually be a crime if this feud didn’t continue on to Tables, Ladders and Chairs next month. Both “WrestleMania main event caliber matches” undelivered and there really wasn’t a close second to speak of.

Show MVP

Nobody really grabbed the proverbial Vince McMahon “brass ring” on this particular PPV so we’ll give it to Cesaro for simply being one tough S.O.B.

Final Grade

It was a solid B- show.

What’s Next

It’s time to begin the build to the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV which is just under a month away in Minnesota. All we know so far is that Asuka will debut and WWE is treating it like a big deal, as they should. As far as the big picture goes, it appears that all roads still lead to Brock versus Roman at WrestleMania 34.
